Packaging Engineer - temporary role for min 1 year, start asap

Your challenges

  • Support the design, development and tests of new package components & packaging systems to ensure, packaging feasibility, regulatory compliance for transportation and product registration.
  • Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to adjacent supply chain functions (procurement, manufacturing, etc.), as well as, to end-users to ensure a safe user-friendly customer experience
  • Establish and maintain packaging data
  • Execution of packaging testings
  • Documentation of test reports
  • Coordinate and organize different request within the organization towards internal and external stakeholders.
  • This entry-level role will be supervised on all activities and specific training will focus on packaging technologies and materials, systems and processes, regulations and manufacturing filling and packaging. Provides active supervised support to New Product Introduction and ensuring all handover work packages are completed on time and in full.
  • With supervision, supports packaging projects related to maintenance and/or troubleshooting support to adjacent supply chain functions (procurement, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Works under supervision with all functions (i.e. procurement, commercial, manufacturing, regulatory, logistics, etc.) to deliver goals on key projects or initiatives.
  • Consults with other more experience engineers and/or testing specialists to ensure all packaging testing and qualification projects meet a high level of scientific integrity.
  • Can work supervised or independently with all functions (i.e. procurement, commercial, manufacturing, regulatory, logistics, etc.) to deliver goals on key projects or initiatives.


Your skills

  • Packaging education or similar experience in the packaging field, 0-2+ years as a Packaging Engineer in a similar industry
  • Used to work in a diverse, intercultural environment
  • Structural and solution oriented thinking
  • Familiar with the standard programs in MS office (word, excel, power point)
  • Capability to plan, organise and structure tasks and work packages
  • Flexible to adjust on the required tasks needs overall within the department
  • Affinity to data documentation and collection
  • Ability to deliver accurate data and execute analyses
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new skill set
  • Language: Obligatory English, Nice to have: German (French)
